Adventures in Mexico: I spent two weeks in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico to experience Halloween and the Day of the Dead celebration (November 1-2).  I look forward to sharing my new images at my holiday shows.

I WALKED 60 MILES!   On November 21-23, 2008, I walked in the San Diego Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day.  I had not walked the event since 2002... and it was time.  I helped raise money for breast cancer research and early detection.  You can learn more about my adventure on my blog  or at the 3-day site.  There's also still time to sponsor me on my personal walker's page.

2007 NANPA SHOWCASE

My image "Cranes In Flight" was selected to be featured in the 2007 Member's Showcase for the North American Nature Photography Association.  It is a special honor to be recogized by my peers in this manner. 

2005 SMITHSONIAN HONOR 

In March 2005, I was honored with an Honorable Mention in the Culture and Arts category of Smithsonian  magazine's 2nd Annual Photo Contest.   My photograph was among more than  27,000 entries received from all over the  world. 

This image was taken at the Day of the Dead celebration at Hollywood Forever cemetary in Los Angeles in October, 2004.
